Chef Tristan

Ross

Tristan De Angelo Ross is a chef, caterer, and creator based in the High Desert of Southern California.  Born in Germany and raised in a Missouri farm town, a love for food was passed down from his Belgian grandmother, a woman who understood the meaning of a meal shared.  Blending European flavors with a Southern flare, Tristan began cooking as a teenager before his passion took him to kitchens across the country, from Austin, Texas to Boulder, Colorado.  Eventually landing in Los Angeles, he worked as a cook at boutique restaurant Alma before joining the opening team of the NoMad’s downtown dining space.

In 2018 Tristan left Los Angeles for the Mojave Desert, stepping back from high-profile, high-intensity kitchens to invest in different dining experiences.  Leaning into his small town roots, the High Desert expanse has been an opening to enrich his craft by focusing on a specific vision, one centered on intention and communion.  By creating consciously sourced, slow-paced meals where connections can flourish, Tristan aims to nourish both body and soul of all who share them.
